Which Diana Wynne Jones Character Are You?

I am Princess Beatrice from Castle in the Air. I was pleased by this result. I remember her as being staunchly practical and tweed-wearing. :D

...Those are going on my wishlist (or to-make next time I have clips and Sculpey), near the Hardy Boy book earrings... There ought to be Narnia or Middle Earth (Or Myst--how cool could that be?!) earrings in this list to better represent my fandoms, but I can't think of any that I've seen that I really liked.

Haha, I turned out to be Princess Beatrice as well. ;)) I remember quite liking her as well. :) Did you get any secondary results? Mine were Vernon Wilkins from Wilkins' Tooth and Ynen from Drowned Ammet. I've read the latter, but can't at all remember who Ynen is...

:D How cute! If you do try your hand at making something like them, you'll have to be sure to show me. And the Hardy Boy ones! It's stuff like this that makes me want to pierce my ears---I could care less about the really pretty stuff (except for a pair of square-cut rubies and some golden bees...); I just want the geeky ones! ;))

Yay! ;)) I'm not sure what it said about me that I got several different characters---maybe that I'm indecisive and bad at taking these sorts of quizzes. ;))

:D I shall look forward to it, if the occasion ever occurs. (Why, so they are! Just not quite as overtly so. ;) So, I could wear earrings that would not embarrass certain sisters but still revel in their geekiness and symbolism. ;)) )

Ooh, yes. Meadow feels the same way and always keeps eyes out for interesting maps at booksales. ;))

I'm going to doubt that it is possible to be bad at taking a What Character Are You test. :p Actually, it's kind of a neat feature to know that there are other characters similar to where your answers land you.

Out of curiosity, do you wear clip-on earrings?

;)) I appreciate the confidence. And it is a neat feature---that way if you hate one of the characters, you can claim to be another. ;)

Not really; I've tried before but I usually take them off pretty quick since they hurt my ears. But then again, I've never had a reason to wear them. ;)) (By the way, Winter is back and I told her about the earrings and showed them to her and she thought they were great. She also said that if you make some pairs and are looking for someone to give them to, she has pierced ears... ;) ;)) )

(Oh, cool! :D I really, really need to read that book. :P I've never found a copy, though.)

I never really thought of the possibility of hating a character... I just naturally assumed that if it was accurate you'd be able to see the similarities and approve...

I will keep that in mind. ;))

I've never found a copy of Tough Guide either. But it looks like a lot of fun.

Well, there aren't tons, but there are a few characters that I really, really dislike. ;)) I'm not sure if there are any in Diana Wynne Jones' books, though.

Narnia earrings would be much appreciated in this quarter as well.

Those True Name maps are fascinating. Just the kind of word-exploration I love. I wish I had the money (and wall space!) for one of those.Thank you for sharing it!

I'm trying to think of something iconic for the series, but so far all I've come up with is converting two of the Peter's shield necklaces into earrings and I'm not sure how well that would work.

Peter's shield is actually exactly what I thought of. Otherwise I guess just anything Narnian-looking - going by the crowns and Susan and Lucy's necklaces and rings.
