The Little Miss Sunshine dress was finished yesterday. Just in time. (I admit to being distracted by Dr. McNinja and not working on the dress much at all the day before. ) It has two pockets and lace trim to match the bead collar.

Rumour has it that the collar was constructed backwards, but I still can't wrap my head around doing the loop at the beginning of the chain instead of before going back to do the first row. Pictures will follow, of course.

Today, I cut out the dress part of what I'm calling the Bubblegum dress. It's based on the Modcloth Baba-blue dress, only it's light blue with bright pink accents. I'm using McCall's 4490, which I first used back when I made Susan's Archery Dress from the movie The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I've taken some of the length off, and I'll frankenpattern the collar and sleeves. I'm pretty sure the ties are just rectangles. Not sure where I'll start the sleeves, but I think my sister has a collar pattern for a blouse she's made a few times somewhere.

I still need to decide if I want to interface the collar and sash. And if I want to use buttons we have laying around, or if I want to make cloth covered buttons.

Deadline: July 17 (because if I don't get it done by then, it may stagnate somewhere, half finished.)
