word count for the day: 66,433
word of the day: beaucoup

Duke heard without any real surprise when the whispers went through the palace that the General was going mad. There was really no way to dispute the fact when the General jumped through a window and fell several hundred feet to the ground below. He picked himself up and ran through the city streets.
The Emperor ordered the Goblins to be on a lookout for him, but he slumped in his throne. What was he going to do without his General? He had beaucoup Goblin officers, but none of the caliber of his old friend.
secondary story word count: 53,506 - DONE!
I've written the words 'The End'. *grin* I did think of a few scenes to add near the middle this morning, so the word count might continue to go up, but the story has a beginning, a middle, and an end that will need to be edited---later.
