Do you know what I am thinking about now? You have three guesses, and I bet all of them will be right.

I am sad I didn't get right on creating a set of hobbits for Hobbit day because it just so happened that I actually went to part of an actual event.

Also, a Hobbit limerick for your amusement and someday I will end up caving to Tumblr...

The necklace and bracelet are very cool, and the limerick was fun. Haha, yes! So true about the tumblr quote. ;)) (And one day I shall cave too. I think that day is coming very soon, but today is not that day. Today, we fight! :D ...Also, because it is getting late and I could't think straight enough to set one up right now. XD)

Yeah, I've been having problems with the silver paint, though, so we'll see how it goes. :)

It was fun. Of course, everything is better when you go with friends. The introduction was sort of a, "Hi, I'm so glad you're here and I wish someone else was talking in front of an audience but we all love Tolkien and the Hobbit so we'll get this show on the road..." I heard most of a guy talking about his collection of Hobbit volumes and he had a display out and my little collector's heart went pitter pat. (I no longer feel bad about wanting a third copy with Michael Hague illustrations.) ;)) The sad thing was that I had to leave before it really got started (I hear I missed something on costumes :( and music...)

If you cave to Tumblr, my feeble will to resist will totally crumble. XD

Of course! You went with some mutual friends, correct? ;) (So jealous you all get together so often!) It sounds very fun. :) (Hehe, yes, go ahead and collect different copies of books. It means I shouldn't feel guilty for collecting second and third copies of the Attolian series, JS&MN, The Perilous Gard, and other books just to give away/lend out and so that I can have pretty copies. ;)) ) Too bad you couldn't stay for all of it! :( Did anyone else stay and hear some of the costumes and music talks?

Hehe...I was thinking the same thing. ;)) Maybe we'll have to cave together. :P (I helped Meadow set up a tumblr so she could comment on someone's blog the other day, so I've already read through all the policies and such. ;) )

I did go with some mutual friends. (You could apply to Twigs for information about the stuff I missed.) See, I don't collect the extra copies specifically for lending to people... I just want them. ;))

Are you suggesting that it is inevitable that we will give in? :p (Anything I should know about in the policies, or is it pretty standard?)

Such fun! :D (I think I may apply to her, if I remember. :">) Hehe, well, lending at least gives you a handy excuse to have extra copies. (My lending copy of TT keeps coming back unread, though. ;( I think my lending copy of JSMN never came back, which isn't a bad thing since I told my friend she could keep it if she liked it, but I'm not actually sure if she got a chance to read it or if it disappeared amongst her family's books. ;)) )

Em, maybe not inevitable. More like extremely likely? :P (No, it seems pretty standard. Interestingly, though, they include a little note saying that whatever content you put up is your's and that if you end up getting it published somewhere, they don't have any claim to it. ;)) )

(Well, my unscientific test of typing in a couple combinations of Valiant Archer didn't turn up any tumblr accounts, so you're still good. I was a little more surprised that various riffs on Meltintalle weren't taken already. :) )

Sure. ;)) How about...Nov 3, next Saturday? Does that work? If not, I'm pretty open any day (besides Nov 2---retreat-thingy in the evening, so it'll be a bit busy) for the, what, 10 or so minutes it should take to set up a tumblr account, so just set another date. ;)) )
