I watched it. I have opinions...

That's a lot of smooching, Phillip.
No, seriously. Like, a lot of smooching. Do something constructive like give me a reason to root for Aurora(?).
...They keep bringing up living forever. Probably ought to store that thought away as a plot point

Belle + Gold = d'awwwwwwwwww and <3 <3 <3

family reunion = only slightly awkward :p
Has Snow always looked that pale, or did Mary Margaret not have skin as white as snow?

Oh, you mean Regina wasn't faking having no powers? I thought she did the dry fire just to see them all duck...

Charming during Snow's "I want to get to know my daughter" speech is so cute.

How do you keep all those plans and contingency plans straight in your head, Gold? o_O
Have I mentioned how much I like Belle + Gold?

Way to Henry's heart, Regina. Have your wallpaper eat his grandpa. XD (Of course, Henry is something of an optimist in hoping that Regina gets a happily ever after too... but the family does believe in second chances.) (Also, to quote Princess Bride: "I knew she was bluffing!")

Phillip = the real sleeping beauty? That's different...
...and, still no viable guess as to who received the postcard via Dove White Deliveries.

All in all, I'd say I'm pleased with how this season started. :D My biggest beef is with the (non)characterization of Aurora, but I dare say she'll grow and we'll end up being pleased with the pairing. The other question worth consideration is why Phillip and Mulan come across as slightly more fleshed out when they don't actually have more screen time than Aurora? Do mysterious people with mad sword skillz and arcane knowledge automatically get a free pass whereas the helpless fluff doesn't? (And she's played as fluff against tough-as-nails Mulan, no doubt about it, and Phillip squashes any moment where she might have had something to say.)

Note to self: find screencaps of young Regina's hair and riding dress
Awwwww, Dear Old Dad. Tell us more! We want to hear your version, not Rumple's...
speaking of which, Rumple, thou art creepy
and your vacation plans have to be postponed...again
I suppose Cora being back home means my Maleficent=Cora theory never really had a wing to fly with...

OUaT 02x09 Queen of Hearts

I had an opportunity to watch the winter finale (I think that's what they call it?) even though I haven't seen the intervening episodes... I think that's like skipping to the end of the story. Oops. ;)) Nevertheless, I oriented myself quickly.

Thank you, Cora, for repeating your motivations twice. Very kind, I appreciated it. However, I hope the episodes I missed make it a little clearer because I don't quite get what you want to do? You're proud of Regina, and touched that she loves you...and you think you're going to help her or are you just waiting until she's down to kick her really, really hard?
Interesting that the make-up artists are really playing up the young Regina/trying to be good Regina resemblance. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something about the face that changes subtly. Or maybe not so subtly, since I noticed. ;))
I see where the Hook/Aurora shippers are coming from... ;)) ...But is that a deep plan on the part of Cora, or will his continuing usefulness protect Hook from her ire? I can't think she'd be happy about loosing Aurora's heart.
All through the reunion, I kept thinking, "Someone give Regina a huuuuuuuuug." And then Henry did, and it was good. And even though they ought not to have walked off on her, Gold's comments were uncalled for.
Seriously, Gold, despite your comments to Emma, you DO have some sort of crazy plan. Unless you're afraid of Hook? What if Hook is Bae? (I mean, I could come up with a convincing story based on this episode, but doubtless that is disproved already. ;)) )

OUaT 02x12 In the Name of the Brother

I sort of had a thought about the Belle/Rumplestiltskin narrative. Hmmmm. With the amnesia, the writers have taken away Belle's ability to choose, and they've placed her in a damsel in distress situation. It's... eh. Now, if it had been RUMPLE who lost his memories--I think that would make a fabulous AU. There'd be conflict between Belle wanting her True Love back, the fact that Rumple in full possession of his powers is not necessarily someone you want running around in your town so there's outside pressure that maybe this was what they needed all along, and... Someone write it, please?

Watching the season piecemeal means I have some off-the-wall theories. For example, based on this episode I think I could make a decent case for Regina and Bae being siblings... or at least I did until I thought about it a bit more and decided that would require a convoluted chunk of missing timeline filled in (Does Cora resent Belle?) and that's just really sad for Daddy Dearest Henry. :( So I hope I'm wrong.

Also, it would seem we're getting a spin on 'You can always get them back' going wrong. And of course, it would involve Regina and her True Wuv... XD (But whose heart became a medical experiment???)

Have we explored where Henry's book came from?

And finally, there seemed to be a lot of characters who need to learn that love involves letting go. :( (And where is Rumple's patience???!!! He ought to have stepped back and read a dating guide, or something. ;)) )

Okay, I've actually seen the first two episodes (yay!), so I'm going to try to be careful and not spoil anything for you. ;))

Yeah, I wasn't overjoyed with all the kissing. ;)) It would've been more useful to actually learn more about their relationship/characters.

The Charming family reunion was kind of awkward but also very sweet---I can't wait to see more of their family dynamic. :)

*coughs*StillnotafanofBelle*coughs* She was a bit better here; she still seems to stuck in the "I can save Rumple and be a hero!!" mode, though.

I know! It's like, "Regina, if you really care, don't go messing with Henry's family..." Also, it's kind of weird when you think about how now Snow and Charming are Henry's grandparents (and quite possibly younger than his mom!), and that means Regina is his step-great-grandmother. ;))
(And his thoughts that Regina can still be saved are somewhere between annoying and endearing.)

...I did not even pick up on Philip being the real Sleeping Beauty. XD I just thought, "Oh, he's dead, and they just stuck him back where they found Aurora."
I've heard ideas, but none that I'm really convinced about yet.

Yay! :) I was pretty pleased with its start as well. I'm hoping we'll get more characterization of Aurora, too. I loved the little bit, though, where she came up behind Mulan and went, "I found one of the horses", with a "So there!" implied. ;))
Good question. I'm not sure why they seemed a bit more fleshed out. :/

I bet you've now seen the first three episodes. I feel like I'll always been about two behind... ;))

Yeah, I think I can see where you're coming from on the Belle thing... and if I looked for it there are all sorts of unhealthy spins to put on their relationship. Rationally, I think we need to see something more than the cup to prove that she does see something in him worth fighting for. Irrationally... *shrug*

In episode two, she does seem to come to a bit of a realization there, though she backs off from committing herself fully. That decision will come back and bite them before the season is over...

I want to caption a screencap of Phillip: "He'll be mostly dead all season" :p

Oh, I must have missed the bit when the horses ran away. That line didn't impress me at all, since I had assumed they tied the horses when they made camp and, wow Aurora you can find the picket line. XD

Yes, I have. But you're only one behind now! :D (I know the feeling of always being one step behind, though. ;)) )

Mmhmm, we need to see more and see that he can actually be redeemed. If you don't actually need a basis for the romance, though, then that's a moot point. ;))
Yeah, she heard him bargaining, right? And that made her uneasy?

Ha! I love it. :D Only mostly dead... ;))

;)) Yeah, no, it was a bit more impressive than finding stationary horses, though still not much to go on.

Yay for seeing episode two! :D

Yes, Rumple is very creepy. :P The bit where she couldn't pronounce his name was pretty funny, though. ;)) And it looks like there is indeed more weight to the idea that Cora was the original Miller's daughter---and Regina then would've been the child that had to be saved from Rumple!

Well, we'd met Maleficent before, and she was too young to be Cora, wasn't she? I can't remember now why you had that theory, though...

(Oh, and on another note, "Becky for the Clark" brings a whole 'nother connotation to the Smuggler's Song. :D )

The last thing I remember with Belle was that she'd caught him wriggling out of not killing Regina on a technicality and stormed out; except then she came back and he apologized for not being what she wants him to be. I hear rumors that she'll be walking out again, though. "You can only play that card so often, Dearie, before it stops having effect." :p

If the aftermath is anything to go by... Rumple won in the long run. ;))

Eh... In the dragon episode I thought the actresses and character powers resembled one another enough for it to be a theory. :)

(It's a side plot involving Clark and the woman he loves. :p )

Ah, yes. :P Yeah, I think Belle is just going to keep walking out for a while, and it's not going to do one bit of good. And, yeah, Rumple isn't going to change for her, I don't think. :( At least not as he is now!

;)) True!

Hmm, I haven't seen that episode since it first came out, and I don't really remember much about Maleficent. ;)) Except, I do remember thinking she looked like the witch in Hansel & Gretel, and us being a little confused until we figured out they were two different people. :P

(Ooh, where is she being smuggled in from? I'm sure there could be a whole dramatic story there. ;)) )
