Ann pushed open the door. The lock stuck a little, and she jiggled the handle. There was supposed to be a security code, but the last person in or out had failed to latch the door properly. At least now they wouldn't have to worry about a passcode or captcha.

I don't know what my word count is, and I don't exactly have an excerpt, but I wrote a few paragraphs on my lunch break earlier. I realised I had completely forgotten to write in the gift of the magic fruit, AKA the whole reason the castle visits are important. XD So, I wrote a little bit about her getting the first one from Lady Maigret... (And about her confusion about being given an apple and then being instructed gravely about not opening it except in gravest need)
